This is your chance to get dirty and dangerous as an over-the-wall pit crew member. Pit road won’t get any more real than this unless you are working as one of the pros!
Begin your day in our state of the art theater with a presentation of how today’s pit crews function and analyze the inner working of the seven over-the-wall crew member positions and duties. You and your team then head to pit road to learn the intricate choreography and skills required to perform a successful pit stop.
After learning from and practicing with PIT’s professional staff, get ready to challenge yourself physically and mentally with six live pit stops that you and your team perform with a driver and car pulling into the pits for fresh tires and fuel! You will listen to and receive instructional calls made by your crew chief over headsets. Do well and receive praise from your driver. Make a mistake and . . . don’t even think about it!
In addition to an experience you're sure never to forget, you will take home a video of your performance recorded from overhead just like on pit road, your authentic pit crew gloves, a pair of PIT safety glasses, and a Jeff Hammond ‘Real Men Work in the Pits’® package including autographed ‘Real Men Work in the Pits’® Certificate of Participation, collectable mini-hood, hat, shirt, book, and your photograph with Jeff Hammond’s 1985 NASCAR® Winston Cup Series championship trophy and authentic fire suits!

5 person minimum / 14 person maximum
TIME:
Approximately 5 hours
DRESS:
Comfortable causal clothing such as loose fitting pants and pullover shirt appropriate for the season to be worn under a single layer fire suit. Socks and closed-toed shoes (tennis /sneakers) are required. Helmets are provided and required to be worn by all participants while on pit road.
REQIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Medical and legal waivers of liability are required by all participants prior to the start of the experience.
